One of my favorite songs of this decade is “Kryptonite” by 3 Doors Down. That song rocks like Nirvana, Foo Fighters and Alice in Chains combined. Despite that hit the band never really has taken off. Now one of its members could be in big trouble. The next door the bassist may see is the rolling bars of a jail cell.
The 40-year-old bassist, Todd Harrell, was arrested on suspicion of DUI in July after crashing into another vehicle in southern Mississippi. As reported in www.eonline.com.
It must have been an all-nighter as he was arrested shortly after 7 a.m. slamming his black Cadillac into the rear of a silver Toyota truck, causing "heavy damage" to both vehicles.
The driver of the other vehicle was reportedly taken to a nearby hospital after suffering neck and back injuries.
The Time of My Life rocker Harrell was charged with DUI and for not wearing a seat belt, and was later released on a $1,000 bond. While he did not take a breathalyzer he did submit a blood sample, whose toxicology analysis is still pending.
Hopefully he will be proactive and take an alcohol class. With sobriety he may again become the true artists he once was.
