In West Virginia, the penalties for tobacco-related offenses are as follows: For a first offense, individuals are subject to a fine of $50. Additionally, they are required to complete 8 hours of community service alongside the fine. In the case of a second offense, the fine increases to $100, and individuals must complete 16 hours of community service in conjunction with the fine. For a third offense, the fine is further raised to $200, and individuals are obligated to complete 24 hours of community service along with the fine. These penalties aim to discourage tobacco-related violations and promote community engagement through service.
